I've been diagnosed as being Diabetic, as a result I'm supposed to have a flu jab. I've had letters offering me this. Whilst collecting a prescription I noticed a poster which reminded me. So I enquired and filled out a form. The pharmacist then told me I would have to go private as I was too young. I told her that I was Diabetic and I had told them that on the form. I also told her I had received 2 letters from the surgery to remind me. She went away for 5mins, then called me into a room. She has the vaccine ready, but then told me that she had checked my records and no Diabetic medication had been given to me. This is true, I manage my condition by diet.At this point, I thought why is this so difficult? I then left without the jab.This attitude is terrible, why couldn't she just check with the surgery, she made me feel like I was trying to con her. Won't be going back, I'd rather have the flu!
