Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. Service is impeccable, food is fantastic. It's one of those places where you go to explore what can be done with flavours. The ingredients are all top quality, but the way they combine flavours puts it in a different class to virtually anything else locally. The fact it's around the most expensive place to eat, yet you need to book well in advance speaks volumes for how good the place is. Highly recommended, paying a little extra really is worth it.
A brilliant place for a family party/ special occasion. Food is exceptional although you don't get any complimentary bread, grissini or oil & balsamic like you would in many Italian restaurants. Will excuse this as it is a lovely atmosphere.
San Giovanni is a real gem of a restaurant. Very good service and excellent food. I dine here regularly and never leave disappointed. I felt their afternoon tea (served in the bar) left a lot to be desired, but the restaurant itself is exceptional.
Food and wine and restaurant was 5star. Best restaurant we have been to in the area. A real cut above the rest. The view over the lake was beautiful. The waiting staff were excellent. We all had 3 courses which we all absolutely loved. Steaks were fist sized and cooked to perfection so the hubbies said, my pasta was amazing and my MIL monk fish was the best she had had. I woukd 100% recommend this place for a special event. I imagine in the summer it is beautiful outside on the terrace. Go to this restaurant you are missing out on some seriously fine Italian food if you don't!!!
